Spiritual growth. You here this phrase often – in church, in Christian literature, in Bible study meetings. You know it’s important. But do you know what it means? Have you ever been a little confused about what exactly spiritual growth is? Well, it’s actually pretty simple. Spiritual growth is the beautiful and lifelong process of becoming more like our savior, Jesus Christ, the Son of God and the only perfect and perfectly holy man to ever walk the earth. Through his death on the cross and resurrection, Jesus paid for our sins and made us right with God. For those who accept this free gift of salvation, our purpose is to live with God and for God, which is done through becoming more like His son and the sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit within us. This is spiritual growth. We are meant to be like Jesus. This is God’s desire for us.
The purpose of this year’s Disciples Conference is to make you seriously consider your spiritual growth. Are you growing in Christ? Are you becoming like Jesus? Our goal is to show you the importance of spiritual growth in your life as a Christian. We want to give you a clear understanding of what spiritual growth is, and how you can grow. The foundation of spiritual growth is the knowledge and acceptance of the TRUTH set forth in the Bible and the knowledge of who Jesus is. God calls us to be like Christ – “For God knew his people in advance, and he chose them to become like his Son, so that his Son would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters" Romans 8:29. To become like Jesus and develop the qualities of His character, you must first know who He is and who you are in Him.
No matter where you are in your walk with God, whether you have just begun or have been living as a Christian for a while now, God has something to say to you at this conference. This is not only a time to learn about spiritual growth, but also an opportunity to be refreshed and to renew your relationship with God. Come join us for Disciples Conference 2012 and hear what He wants to share with you!

Online registration is now closed, but you are welcome to register on the conference day at 4pm at Sulamita Church 12420 Evergreen Dr., Mukilteo, WA 98275. On site registration fee is $20.

Passion for Christ
In the past two months, after a year’s break, our team has been diligently working to gather our strength and resources to bring you the Disciples Conference 2011: “Passion for Christ.” Long awaited, this year’s conference is set to be an inspirational call for action, a call to revive our first love for Jesus and to live according to our standing in Him. Many of us need a reminder about whom we believe in.
On our behalf, much of the preparation work has been done already. Our website underwent a change, obtaining a new look. The promo video is rolling. The teams from our youth are on the go, visiting churches and spreading the word. The brochures are being handed out. The speakers are getting ready. Everything is set in motion and we are asking you to join us in our excitement.
This year’s conference, like no other before, will be compelling and revolutionary. It will be the awakening call of many. It will be the acceptance of brokenness and exaltation in humbleness. It will be about the great I AM, about the One whose death gifted you an eternal life. It will be about Jesus. Join us. Spread the passion. Captivate others. Ignite faith. Join the movement of DC 2011: “Passion for Christ.”
